CreativeRace partner with Leeds charity to supply Christmas presents to disadvantaged children

Independent, integrated marketing agency CreativeRace has partnered with homelessness prevention service Engage Leeds to deliver Operation Santa, ensuring that children of families that Engage Leeds support do not go without presents this Christmas. 

Liz Lee, Volunteer Co-ordinator at Engage Leeds reached out to friends, family, and the Leeds business community when at short notice the charity was let down by a long-standing supporter of Operation Santa, which ensures that around 200 less fortunate Leeds children don’t go without Christmas presents.

Liz’s son Oliver Lee, Sales Director at CreativeRace jumped at the chance to help. He notes, “The choice to support Engage Leeds was an easy one as the thought of children not receiving anything at Christmas is awful. I took the idea to the agency of replacing our usual agency Secret Santa with Operation Santa, and colleagues voted unanimously in favour of the idea. The way that it has united the whole agency has been brilliant and needless to say, we will be supporting next year too.”

CreativeRace wish to further extend the initiative to other local agencies and business’ in the region and would welcome anyone wishing to get involved to get in touch. They add:  “Next year we’d love to bolster the bounty of presents that we can provide, because let’s face it children receiving one present each is better than nothing, but far from perfect. So, this is an open invitation for like-minded businesses within Leeds to join hands and make Christmas 2022 as special as possible.”

Engage Leeds commented, “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of all at CreativeRace and on behalf of the charity we’d like to extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in Operation Santa, enabling us to supply over 60 children with presents who otherwise may not receive a gift.  CreativeRaces’ generosity, without doubt, will make a huge impact on the lives of the many children whose families we support. The thought of other Leeds marketing agencies joining forces with CreativeRace to ensure more children can benefit for receiving gifts next year is so exciting and we really hope it happens”.
