We are looking for an Integrated Account Director to come and join our team.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Client Services team managing a portfolio of clients with their strategic, creative and digital requirements. This is a highly varied role spanning multiple clients across the entire media mix. We are looking for an established and proven, strategically-driven and creatively-minded Account Director to come on board and drive our business forwards. The role will require you to be an organised and process driven individual to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and keep several projects at different stages moving forwards. This is a highly varied role spanning several different disciplines. We are looking for a strong and proven account handler with a solid understanding of performance digital marketing, as well as have the ability to run strategic and creative projects and grow client relationships.

Reporting to the Managing Partner and working closely with the Strategy, Digital Performance and Creative teams, you’ll be a self-starter who can identify opportunities to improve the client relationships and grow our accounts. Prioritisation, assessing value, coordinating different disciplines and communicating well are a must for this role.

Key responsibilities of the role

Ownership of client relationships at mid and senior levels built on quality of output & mutual respect

  • An intelligent overview of the client’s environment and challenges – core knowledge of their business, both in terms of creativity and commerciality.
  • An engaging partner-based personal approach to supporting clients.
  • Oversee the creation of integrated and performance strategies built around the clients marketing and business needs.
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure the agency teams are focused on the agreed KPI’s and results.
  • An ability to pro-actively create solutions for future client challenges.
  • Clear man-marking strategy for each client, utilising the leadership team as relevant.
  • Keep the wider team aware of client sentiment, challenges & opportunities.
  • Ability to write, prepare & present documents, presentations & reports tailored to each client’s style, preference, knowledge & experience.
  • Inspiring presentation style that excites the client and elicits action.
  • Take responsibility for the commercial performance of clients and ensure that there is a clear framework of results and measurement in place for each client and the relevant team.
  • Strong relationship with Managing Partner, knowing when to involve Managing Partner or when to escalate.
  • Possesses tenacity and drive required to see a job through to the end.

Commercial awareness, driving profitability, growth and efficiencies

  • A natural growth instinct that seeks out opportunities to develop our business further including being alert to cross-sell opportunities.
  • Ensure forecasts are regularly updated, interrogating the figures to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure all projects are scoped correctly and delivered within agreed timeframes.
  • Daily, weekly & monthly resource management across all disciplines.
  • Take an active role in creating and developing commercial opportunities with clients to maximise revenue and growth.

Champion of gold standard responses to every client brief

  • Ability to execute multiple fast-paced projects across various client with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent brief writer, understanding the tools of a tight brief & ability to write effectively to inspire creative solutions.
  • An ability to interrogate & challenge strategic & creative outputs to collectively deliver a better outcome.
  • Ability to own the big campaign thought and understand how this should integrate/roll out across channels.
  • Final gate-way approval for all client projects and significant pieces of work.
  • Challenge & re-invigorate agency processes and ways of working, taking key learnings to your clients.

Skills required for the role

  • 10+ years experience of working within a digital or integrated agency, across multiple business sectors.
  • Previous line management experience with a demonstrable track record of leading, mentoring, supporting teams or individuals, working with them to address ways of working, resource challenges and development opportunities.
  • Be aware of the broader agency community and keep in touch with client moves, talent opportunities and show strong understanding of the market.
  • Work with integrity, ensuring you do the right thing for our clients and our people.
  • Enjoy managing your own workload and taking responsibility for many areas of an exciting growing business.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Appetite to learn from the wider team and get involved in shaping future processes.
  • Organised and process driven individual with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
